Hello out there in computer land! This is my first time blogging SO if I mess something up, please forgive me! Perhaps I will learn as I go.
I just wanted to share last nights experience and hope that someone else would find it as sweet as I did.
As most of you know, my husband Trenton works a public job and then comes home and runs his 300 acre farm so needless to say my daughter Lindsey and I don't get to spend alot of time with him. Bless his heart, last night he TOOK the time out to go see Santa Claus with us both and have dinner. This is the first year that Lindsey really realizes who Santa is, so it was a special time for us all. We went driving through the lights at the Mike Miller park then Santa awaited us at the end of the ride. We got out and stood, and stood in the COLD...just so she could "talk" to Santa. She seemed excited and I as looked in Trenton's eyes I seen the love he has for his little girl. It was finally her turn to talk to Santa, we took up there and she hid her face!! She wouldn't talk to him for anything. I was a bit embarrased, but Santa told me not to worry lots of kids didnt want to talk to him!! However she did sit long enough to make a picture with him and give her Mom & Dad a brief moment of sadness (she is growing too fast) and happiness at the same time.
Lidnsey will be 3 in January so hopefully next year she will understand a little more about baby Jesus and not just Santa. We don't want to get stuck on just Santa and not the real reason for Christmas!
